 The Barn Nursery and Landscape Center opened in 1980. It originated as a landscape only company back in 1968, started by Len and Tom Kusmerz. Operations were expanded in 1980 at the current 10 acre retail and wholesale garden center in Cary, Illinois. The Garden Center specializes in offering landscape sized hardy plant material. The landscape division specializes in custom residential and commercial projects featuring our own architectural landscape design group.
The Barn Nursery and Landscape Center currently employs 21 full-time professionals with 60-80 seasonal employees. Our career professionals include Registered Landscape Architects, Illinois Certified Nurserymen, International Arborists, and Certified Landscape Technician.

Summer Hours The Barn Nursery will close at 5PM on Thursday, July 3rd. We will be closed on Wednesday, the 4th of July. Beginning July 1st, our summer hours are as follows:
M-W 7:30-6
TH-F 7:30-7:30
